Overview

The trip begins with an early morning pick-up from Nairobi at around 6:30 – 7:00 am. You will drive along the scenic Mai Mahiu–Naivasha Road with a short stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint, where you can take photos and enjoy panoramic views of the escarpment. You will then proceed to Hell’s Gate National Park, arriving at the gate at approximately 8:30 am. After a short briefing, you will start the adventure. Hell’s Gate is famous for its towering cliffs, gorges, hot springs, and unique rock formations such as Fischer’s Tower and Central Tower.

Visitors can enjoy a range of activities such as game viewing (zebras, giraffes, buffalos, elands, gazelles, baboons and over 100 bird species including vultures and eagles), cycling inside the park (optional – bikes can be rented at the gate), hiking the scenic gorges with a guide, and rock climbing (for the adventurous).

Around midday, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at a shaded area or designated picnic site within the park. After lunch, the exploration continues with either more hiking or a relaxing walk to take in the incredible scenery. At around 3:30 pm, you will begin the journey back to Nairobi. Optionally, you can make a short stop in Naivasha town for refreshments. Arrival back in Nairobi is expected at approximately 5:30 – 6:00 pm, marking the end of a memorable adventure.
