Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe – Kibale National Park

Pick up from your hotel in Entebbe or Entebbe International Airport and depart for Kibale National Park, renowned as the primate capital of the world.

Enjoy a scenic drive through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, passing tea plantations, local villages, and rolling hills before arriving at your lodge in time for lunch.

Spend the afternoon at leisure or enjoy an optional guided nature walk around the lodge.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, proceed to Kibale National Park for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience.

Accompanied by an experienced ranger guide, venture into the tropical rainforest in search of habituated chimpanzee families. Along the way, you may also encounter black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and a variety of bird species.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch before driving to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Enjoy an evening game drive en route to your lodge, with opportunities to spot elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and other wildlife.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, embark on an early morning game drive across the Kasenyi Plains, one of the park’s best wildlife viewing areas.

Look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, giant forest hogs, and numerous bird species.

Return to the lodge for lunch before enjoying an afternoon boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George.

The cruise offers excellent opportunities to see large concentrations of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and an incredible variety of water birds along the shoreline.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, check out and depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to almost half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.

Enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful Kigezi Highlands, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa,” arriving at your lodge in time for lunch or later in the afternoon depending on your trekking sector.

Spend the remainder of the day relaxing and preparing for the unforgettable gorilla trekking experience.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your once-in-a-lifetime mountain gorilla trekking experience.

Accompanied by experienced ranger guides, trek through the dense rainforest in search of one of Bwindi’s habituated gorilla families. Trekking time varies from one to several hours depending on the gorillas’ location.

Once found, spend one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat while learning about their behavior and conservation.

Return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, relax at the lodge or participate in an optional Batwa Cultural Experience, where you’ll learn about the traditions and lifestyle of the indigenous Batwa people.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 6: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, depart for the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa’s most scenic lakes, surrounded by lush green terraced hills and dotted with numerous islands.

Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at your lodge before spending the afternoon relaxing or participating in optional activities such as canoeing, bird watching, or exploring the surrounding communities.

Take in the tranquil atmosphere and spectacular scenery before returning to your lodge.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi – Entebbe

After breakfast, check out and begin your return journey to Entebbe.

Enjoy scenic views along the way with stopovers for refreshments and lunch (where applicable) before arriving in Entebbe later in the day.

Drop-off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Uganda safari.
